Voyager 4x4 Adventures are able to offer the following Mining Specific Driver Training Courses:

RIIVEH201B Operate Light Vehicle

This course is suitable for both two wheel drive and four wheel drive vehicles and is designed as a vehicle induction and basic dirt road driving course. Its includes components such as:

  • Pre departure and post trip checks
  • Vehicle maintenance
  • Defect reporting
  • Record keeping
  • Response to hazardous conditions
  • Report & comply with environmental issues

This course can be conducted on your companies mine site (Australia Wide) or at our facilities in the Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley (just 3 hours from Sydney).

RIIVEH305A Operate & Maintain a 4wd Vehicle

This course is suitable for four wheel drive vehicles only and is designed as a Basic Four Wheel Drive Course specific to the Mining Industry. It includes components such as:

  • Pre departure and post trip checks
  • Driver and passenger seating positions
  • Tyres, suspension and vehicle components
  • Basic vehicle recovery (towing & snatch straps)
  • Shallow water crossings
  • Jacking a vehicle
  • Driving over a variety of moderate terrain
  • Inclines & declines

This one day course can be conducted on your companies mine site (Australia Wide) or at our facilities in the Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley (just 3 hours from Sydney).

PMASUP236A Operate vehicles in the field

This course is suitable for four wheel drive vehicles only and is designed for an operations technician who patrols areas of pipeline or follows pipelines across a variety of terrains looking for problems which require maintenance or reporting. During the course of their work they must check the vehicle for mechanical soundness before leaving base, ensure it is securely and adequately packed, make certain their communications equipment and contact schedule is in order and generally be prepared for long periods off-road. This course is specific to the Mining & Pipeline Industries. It includes components such as:
 

  • Prepare Vehicle & Secure Load
  • Undertake the journey
  • Vehicle Operation
  • Finalise the Journey
  • Vehicle Recovery
  • Maintaining Vehicle safety

The nationally recognised "Statement of Attainments' issued within Four Wheel Driver Training Queensland’s (RTO No: 5429) scope and scale of registration are delivered by Voyager 4x4 Adventures.

Voyager 4x4 Adventures can train anyone from a single employee to a whole company and are available to travel to anywhere in Australia. All trainers are qualified in the certificate that they teach and are also Cert IV Trainer & Assessors with multiple other qualifications including first aid, mines induction and many more.
